Oats Porridge is a perfect way to start off your day. Oats are rich in fiber content, which is very beneficial for our health. It helps to remove cholestrol . It is good for diabetes. It is also good for pregnant ladies as it contains high fiber, folic acid , iron, satisfies the hunger. It is good to relieve constipation.
We make Oatmeal for our everyday breakfast, as it is great if you include oats for your breakfast. We usually prepare it by adding milk. But now i want to try it without adding milk, which helps to regulate weight. So, i tried it today. Here i added salt for taste instead of sugar. You can add salt or sugar according to your taste preference.
Ingredients:
Oats - 3 tbsp
Water - 1 1/2 cups
Salt - as required
Method:
Heat water in a pan and let it boil
Once it boils add the oats and sir continuously to avoid lumps
Add salt and cook for 6-7 mins, the oats mixture will get thicker as it cooks, remove form flame
Serve oatmeal with Mor Milagai or plain ( i liked the flavour of mor milagai with oats, try it 😃)
Note:
Serve oatmeal when it is hot, as time goes it will get thicker
