South Indian Tea / Simple Milk Tea - easy recipe with stepwise pictures. Tea , the word itself brings refreshment to me. I love tea & coffee. After a long tired day a cup of tea after a warm bath refreshes me. There are lots of ways and varieties in tea making. I've tried a lot of tea versions. But this version is quicker and my favourite because the tea gets ready in no time. I've already posted Masala Tea recipe, please check that too. I try to post all tea recipes i've tried so far.
Ingredients:
Milk - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Tea Powder - 2 tbsp
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Method:
Combine Milk and Water and heat it in milk pan
Wait till it comes to boil
Once it boils add the tea powder
Let the tea powder boil for 2 mins
Close it with a lid for few secs and immediately remove the lid and stir it with a spoon
Allow to boil for 2 more mins
Once you get the desired strongness, remove from flame
Add sugar in another cup or vessel
Strain in that vessel
Pull the tea for 3-4 times well, so that the flavour of the tea is enhanced
Serve the south indian tea hot

Note:
- I used 3 Roses tea powder that gives a good flavour and taste
- Closing the lid for few secs lets the tea powder to release its flavours
- Remove the lid immediately orelse the milk will spilt
- Pulling the tea is very important in tea making, because its releases a nice aroma , taste and flavour to the tea, so dont forget to pull the tea for 3-4 times
- Never reheat he tea directly on stove top, it'll spoil the taste
- If you want to reheat place the vessel containing tea on a boiling water
