Beach Sundal|Pattani Sundal - full rcipe with stepwise pictures and video. Everytime we go to beach we taste this sundal. This recipe is a little different from ordinary sundal recipes. Sundal can be made in different varieties, this one is very easiest recipe. The only time required for this recipe is for soaking the green peas. Other than that it can be made in 5 minutes. Ingredients:
Dried Green Peas - 2 cups
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt
Grated Mango - 1/4 cup
To Grind:
Coconut bits - 1/4 cup
Green Chilli - 2 long
Ginger - 2"
To Temper:
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 spring
Method:
Soak the peas overnight and drain the water.
Add it to the cooker with 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and required salt
Cook for 3 whistles
Grind the ingredients given under "To Grind"
Grind coarsely
Heat a pan add oil and add 1/4 tsp mustard
Curry leaves
Add the ground paste and saute well foir 2 minutes
Add the cooked peas
Saute well and switch off the flame
Add the grated mango
Mix well and serve
