Spicy Channa - Full recipe with stepwise pictures and video. This is an easy yet a tasty snack. This is perfect for tea time. It can be made in minutes, the only time required for this snack is the soaking time of channa. This is quite different from a regular channa recipe, because this dish is spicy and tangy. Try this recipe in a lazy evening.

Ingredients:
Channa dal - 1 cup
Turmeric Powder - 2 pinches[optional]
Tea powder - 1 tsp
Cotton Cloth - to tie tea powder
Water - 1 cup
Oil - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Green Chilli - 1 small chopped
Ginger - 1 tbsp chopped
Salt
Lemon Juice - 1/2 tsp
Method:
Soak 1 cup channa overnight. Wash and add the channa to the pressure cooker
Add 2 pinches of turmeric powder,salt.
Take a cotton cloth, add 1 tsp tea powder, tie tightly and add it to the cooker
Add 1 cup water and cook for 5 whistles
Let the cooker release the pressure naturally
Now the channa has cooked well
Heat oil in a pan and add 1/4 tsp pepper powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp garam masala, chopped green chilli and ginger, saute well
Add the channa
Mix well till no moisture left and the channa is coated well
Once the channa roasted well add 1/2 tsp lemon juice, give a good mix..remove from flame
