Channa Dal Sundal|Kadalapruppu Sundal - full recipe with stepwise pictures and video. Sundal recipes are always healthy . We can make sundl with any dal and there are a lot of varieties to try. One such recipe is channa dal sundal. This is easy to make, tasty, healthy...what not.This is mostly made during navratri days. We make sweets, sundal for 9 days. In my house this kadalaiparuppu sundal is a must in one of the nine days. As nvratri is nearing now so i thought to share it with you. Ofcourse this is not a new one, but still i want to post this one. Try this and let me know how it came out for you.
Ingredients:
Channa dal - 1 cup
Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Salt
To Temper:
Oil - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - 1spring
Red chilli - 1

Method:
Wash and Soak 1 cup of channa dal in hot boiling water for an hour with little salt
After an hour cook the channa dal for 15 - 20 mins
Once it is cooked softly remove from flame, filter and keep aside
Heat a kadai add a tsp of oil followed by 1 tsp mustard seeds
Add 1 tsp urad dal
! red chilli and few curry leaves
Add the cooked channa dal and saute well
Now add 2 tbsp grated coconut
Mix well and remove from flame after 2 minutes
