Ingredients:
Moong dal - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2.5 cups
Water - 1/2 - 1 cup
Jaggery powder - 2.5 tbsp
Cardamom - 2
Grated Coconut - 2 tbsp

Method:

  • Soak Moong dal in hot water for 30 minutes
  • Add the soaked Moong dal to a saucepan and add 2.5 cups milk
  • Mix, cover and cook for 15 minutes
  • At one stage the dal will be 75% cooked and the milk will also be absorbed
  • At this stage add 1/2 - 1 cup water
  • Once the water is absorbed and the dal is cooked crush 2 cardamoms and add
  • MIx well
  • Add Jaggery powder
  • Mix well
  • Add grated coconut
  • Mix well and remove from flame

With Stepwise Pictures:
Soak Moong dal in hot water for 30 minutes
