Egg Potato Peas Curry - full recipe with stepwise pictures and video. Egg recipes are always my favourite. If i don't have vegetables then i'll make some recipes using egg but i don't repeat the recipes. Everytime i'll try new recipes. One such recipe is this Egg Potato Peas curry. This can be made easily with whatever the ingredients you have at home. I had only potato and peas so i made with that. Except turmeic powder i haven't used any spice powder in this curry. Ingredients:
Eggs - 4
Potato - 2 big
Peas - 3/4 cup
Onion - 1 cup chopped
Tomato - 1 cup chopped
Green chilli - 1
Curry leaves - 1 spring
To Grind:
Coconut - 1/2 cup
Cashews - 8
Garli c- 8
Ginger - 1 piece
Fennel - 1/2 tsp
To Roast and Grind:
Coriander seeds/Dhaiya - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 5
To Temper:
Oil - 3 tbsp
Fennel sees - 1 tsp
Cardamom - 2
Cloves - 3
Cinnamon - 1
Kalpaasi - 1
Method:
With Stepwise Pictures:
Keep the ingredients ready
Boil eggs and potatoes
Heat a pan and dry roast dhaniya
Once done remove from flame
In the same pan add cumin seeds, when it splutters remove from flame
Add the red chillies, saute for few seconds
Cool everything and grind to a fine powder\
Grind the ingredients given under 'to grind' and keep aside
Heat 3 tbsp oil followed by fennel seeds
Add the whole garam masala and fry
Add 1 cup chopped onion
Add green chilli and saute well
Add 1 spring curry leaves and cook till onion turns soft
Now add 1 cup chopped tomatoes and saute till it turns mushy
Add required salt and mix well
Once the tomato turns mushy add 3/4 cup peas
Cook for 2 minutes
Now add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Add the ground spice powder
Mix well
After a minute add ground coconut paste
Saute until nice aroma of ginger and garlic arises
Once the raw smell goes add 2 cups water
Let the curry boil
