Matar Poha | 10 Minute Breakfast Recipe with Poha | Peas & Aval Upma

Matar Poha - full recipe with stepwise pictures and video. Matar Poha is one of the easiest breakfast recipe that can be made quickly when you have no time. It is also easier and healthy to kickstart your busy mornings. This easy breakfast can be made with both fresh Green Peas & Boiled Peas. I remember my college days where one of my friend brought this poha atleast twice  a week. We all love to eat this at our break time with spicy sauce available at our Canteen. So i like to have poha with spicy sauce, green chilli & sliced Onions. Do try this recipe and share your feedback.

Ingredients:

Poha - 1 cup

Green chilli - 3

Onion - 1/2 cup chopped

Hing - 2 pinches

Salt - 1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp

Sugar - 1/4 tsp

Boiled Peas or Fresh Green peas - 1/2 cup

To Temper:

Oil - 2 tsp

Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp

Urad dal - 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp

Cashews - 6

Curry leaves - 1 spring

Method:

Rinse 1 cup Poha in a strainer and keep aside

Heat 2 tsp oil & add 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds

Add 1/2 tsp Urad dal & 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds

Broke & add 6 Cashews ..roast till it turns golden

Add 1 spring Curry leaves

Chop & add 3 Green chillies & 1/2 cup Onion

Saute till it turns soft

Furthermore add 2 pinches Hing, 1/2 tsp Salt

When Onion turns soft add 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder & cook for 2 minutes

After 2 minutes add 1/2 cup Boiled peas [you can also add fresh green peas]

Cook for 3 minutes

Add Rinsed POha & mix well

Cook for 3 - 4 minutes

After 4 minutes add 1/4 tsp Sugar, mix & Serve hot 

With Stepwise Pictures:

Rinse 1 cup Poha in a strainer and keep aside

Broke & add 6 Cashews ..roast till it turns golden


Add 1 spring Curry leaves


Chop & add 3 Green chillies & 1/2 cup Onion


Saute till it turns soft

When Onion turns soft add 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder & cook for 2 minutes
