Arai Keerai Kadaiyal - full recipe with stepwise pictures. Arai Keerai kadaiyal is an easy recipe you can make this in minutes. As i said in my previous posts, mostly i choose easiest recipes to make as it is less time consuming. This keerai masiyal is also one such recipe, here i didn't use the "mathu & chatti" to mash the keerai. I just pulsed in the mixer, because i'm not feeling well today😫. If you want you can mash with the mathu & chatti. This keerai recipe is how my mom makes at home try this and let me know.
Arai Keerai Kadaiyal - Recipe with Stepwise Pictures
Ingredients:
Arai Keera/Amaranthus - 1 bunch
Moong dal - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Green Chilli - 3
Garlic - 5
Sambar powder - 1 tsp
Pepper owder - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida/hing - 2 pinches
To Temper:
Oil- 1 tsp
Mustard - 1 tsp
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Small Red chilli/Milagai Vatral - 4-5
Method:
With Stepwise Pictures:
Blanch the keerai by picking only its leaves, wash it well and keep aside
In a pressure cooker, wash and add the moong dal with water
Add the onion, tomato, garlic, green chilli, Pepper powder, sambar powder, salt and asafoetida
Then add the keerai and cook for 2 whistles
Wait for the pressure to get released naturally and transfer it to a mixie jar , just pulse for 2- 3 times
In a pan temper the items given under 'to temper', add it to the keerai
Serve hot with rice.
