Spicy Semi - dry Chicken Curry

Spicy Chicken Curry - Full recipe with Stepwise Pictures. Chicken is an all time favourite food. We can make a number of dishes with this chicken . One such recipe is this semi - dry thick curry. This can be eaten as a side dish for rice, iodli, dosa,chapati and also a main dish. This recipe is one of my favourite as mom  makes it very often.Lets move on to th recipe.


Ingredients:

Chicken - 1/4 kg
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Chicken masala - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Curry masala - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - 8
Salt
Oil

To grind:
Small Onion - 8
Big Onion - 1
Tomato - 2

To Marinate:
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
Curd - 1 tsp

Method:

Marinate the chicken and set aside for 20 mins, Grind the items given under 'to grind'
Heat oil and add the grounded masala along with the curry leaves
Add the Ginger Garlic paste .
Fry it in the oil until the raw smell goes off (approx.4 mins), Add the masala powders and fry it for 3 mins
Add the marinated chicken and add  1/2 cup water
Fry and allow the chicken to boil until all the water is absorbed and forms a curry like consistency.
Once the oil seperates & the chicken is cooked, switch off the stove and transfer to a bowl
