Boiled and Dropped Egg Curry - Full recipe with Video and Stepwise Pictures. This is an easy Recipe but with a few extra steps. But those steps are necessary to get an excellent recipe with lip-smacking taste. This recipe has few ingredients to roast and grind, those spices give good taste to the curry. We usually make this recipe on a rainy day, because the spices will give a good taste on a chill rainy days. This Curry tastes best when you have this with chapati, dosa, rice. So Let's move on to the recipe.

Ingredients:
Boiled Eggs - 3
Raw Egg - 2
Onion - 3
Tomato - 2
Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
All-purpose Curry powder - 1 tbsp
Water 1 1/2 - 2 cups
A fistful of Coriander leaves
To Roast and Grind:
Cumin - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 Tsp
Red Chilli - 4
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp
Ginger - 2"
Garlic - 10 pods
Curry leaves - 1 spring
Shallots or small onion - 3
Grated Coconut - 1/4 cup
Frying Boiled Eggs:
Oil - 1 Tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
Salt - a pinch
To Temper:
Oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1/2 Tsp
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon - 2"
Cardamom - 3
Kalpaasi - 1
Method:
Roast the ingredients under "To Roast and Grind"
Add 1 tsp of cumin and pepper in 1 tsp of oil. Saute well
Followed by 2 tsp of Coriander seeds and 1 tsp of fennel seeds
Soak 4 red chillies in hot water for 15 minutes to get a smooth paste while grinding.
Add the soaked chillies to the kadai and saute
Add 2"ginger
Followed by 10 garlic pods and 1 spring curry leaves
Saute in low flame
Add 3 small onions
Add 1/4 cup of grated coconut and switch off the flame immediately.
Grind into a fine paste after it cools
Boil 3 eggs and slit it
Add 1 tsp of oil in a kadai and add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
A pinch of salt
Add the boiled eggs
Fry for 5 minutes and remove from flame
Heat oil and add the items given under "To Temper"
Add 3 onions sliced finely and saute till the onion becomes soft
Add 2 sliced tomatoes and cook till it becomes mushy
Add 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
Followed by 1 tbsp all purpose curry powder
Mix well
Add the ground paste
Mix once
Add 11/2 - 2 cups of water
Mix till it mixes evenly
Now the oil has seperated..mix once
Drop 2 raw eggs into the curry and wait till it gets cooked
Don't mix the eggs immediately
Now the egg has partially cooked
Flip the egg to other side when one side is cooked
Now add the boiled and fried eggs
After 3-4 minutes the curry get cooked completely..now add the coriander leaves and remove from flame
Serve with plain rice, roti or dosa
