Aloo Bonda|Quick Tea Time Snack|Subhis Kitchen

Aloo Bonda - Full recipe with stepwise Pictures and Video. This can be made quickly, the only part is boiling the potatoes. This is a perfect tea time snack. We usually make this snack once in a week. This snack is a perfect tea partner and good to eat in rainy day evenings. Also in late summer evenings. Ingredients:
Potatoes - 3
Garli c- 2 pods
Green chilli - 1
Onion - 1
Salt
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
For Bajji Batter:
Readymade Bajji Flour - 1 cup
Water
To temper:
Oil - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Finely chop the onion, green chilli and garlic 
  2. Boil the potatoes with Salt and required water
  3. Once it gets cooled crumble and keep aside
  4. Heat a kadai and add the items given under "to temper"
  5. Followed by garlic and green chilli, Saute well for a minute
  6. Then add the finely chopped onions and cook till onion tuns soft
  7. Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  8. Saute for a minute
  9. Now add the boiled and crumbled potatoes and stir continuously
  10. After 3 - 4 minutes the potatoes will blended with the masala.
  11. Remove from flame and allow it to cool
  12. Make equal sized balls from the potato dough
  13. Mix bajji flour with enough water and make a semi thick paste
  14. Heat oil in a pan
  15. Dip the potato balls in the bajji batter 
  16. Add the bondas one by one and deep fry in medium flame till it turns golden brown
  17. Now the tasty and yummy aloo bondas are ready!!!
  18. Serve hot with tea
