Idli Manchurian - Full recipe with stepwise pictures and videos. Everyone loves idli - easily digestible, steamed, tasty and it one of the regular breakfast in our houses.Idli manchurian which is made from idli is also a tastiest one. I usually have it from hotels, but once i tasted in my friend's house i totlly loved it and thought to give it a try. It came out excellent. Immediately i thought to share it with you. Let's move on to the recipe



Ingredients:
For frying idlis:
Idlis - 8 [chopped finely]
Maida - 1 cup
Salt
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

For Manchurian:
oil - 3 tsp
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
onions - 2[ finely chopped]
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
tomatoes - 3 
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Soy sauce - 1tbsp
Tomato sauce -1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - for garnishing
Salt

Method:
For frying idlis:
in a wide bowl mix maida, salt and chilli powder
Add 1/4 - 1/2 cup water and mix like a bajji batter
Chop 8 idlis into small pieces
Heat oil, dip the chopped idlis in the batter and deep fry in hot oil
fry the remaining idlis like this and keep aside

for manchurian:
Heat 3 tsp oil in a kadai and add 1 tsp fennel seeds
followed by 2 chopped onions, saute till it turns pink and soft
Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
Fry till the raw smell goes
Now add 3 tomatoes and saute till it turns mushy
Once the tomatoes are soft and mushy add the spice powders(turmeric powder, chilli powder, garam masala) and salt
Once the raw smell goes add 3 - 4 tbsp water
Cook and add 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp tomato sauce
After 3 - 4minutes add the fried idlis
mix, cover and cook for 3 -4 minutes
Finally add coriander leaves and serve hot
